Is Restylane For You?
Restylane helps rejuvenate and soften the skin. To receive Restylane dermal fillers, clients must be over the age of 21. Since it has so many formulas, your treatment plan is personalized to fit your needs. Restylane may help you reduce visible signs of aging, including fine lines throughout the face, or boost the fullness in your cheeks and lips. It can also treat moderate to severe wrinkles, like frown lines, laugh lines, crow’s feet, marionette lines, nasolabial folds, and more. Several treatments contain anesthetic lidocaine, so please be sure to let us know about any allergies to avoid a negative reaction.
Procedure Technique
Restylane treatments take place in-office at Versailles Medical Spa. A topical anesthetic cream can be applied for greater comfort, if requested. The treatment is administered by injecting the filler into the skin with a fine-gauge needle and is later massaged in order to fill the needed areas. After the medical provider does the treatment, they will provide you with a cold compress to help control possible inflammation and/or bruising. Every Restylane formula is injected with a similar technique but on different areas, and is treated according to your specific needs and goals.
Your Restylane Injections
Once your Restylane treatment is finished, you can return to your daily activities. Your downtime period will depend on what you are having treated and the medical provider will provide you with post-care instructions and expectations. The treated areas may appear slightly red and swollen, but this often fades away within hours following your treatment. Bruising is one of the possible after-effects of Restylane dermal filler injection, but this may be camouflaged with cosmetic makeup. It is recommended that you avoid strenuous activities, such as exercise, for 24-48 hours and you should sleep upright for at least one night. Most patients will see some improvements right after their treatment, but it may take up to 1-2 weeks until the final results appear. Restylane injections typically last about a year, depending on the formula selected.
