As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to spread, those on the front-line of this virus are being put in greater risk.
Hi. My name is Marie from Versailles Medical Spa. I would like to share a story with you. A few days ago, I went to the supermarket and I got approached by a lady that asked me where I got my mask from. We’ve gave away all the masks that we had at this point. Unfortunately, we had to make our own and I wanted to help the community. And another face protector, you could call it a mask or a shield, and you can make this very easy. So there’s three pieces that you need. You need vinyl weather foam that you can get from Home Depot or you can order on Amazon, and you need a plastic binder, and also an elastic band. Any kind of elastic band that you can find is good. Okay?
You’re going to take the plastic, you’re going to get the weather binding vinyl, one piece. We need three pieces of the plastic vinyl. You cut them all with the same length. This is something very fast and effective that you can really use when you’re leaving the house and you want to be protected. You take those three pieces, it has plastic here that you can peel. This side is smooth and this side has the sticky part. You’re going to put it exactly on the edge of the plastic from the beginning to the end. Okay. If you feel like cutting a little bit longer, just cut this side a little. And what you’re going to do, you’re going to take the second one and you’re going to put it on top of the first foam that you did. You take the paper out and you get the sticky part again and you put it on top also.
The reason you’re putting those three is because you want to have a space between the plastic. When you want to put it on your face, you need to have a little bit of space. This way, the plastic doesn’t get glued onto your face. Okay? And then you’re going to take the rubber piece and you’re going to staple it. You staple it on the plastic and voila. So, you take it, you put it, and you got yourself a shield.
The Versailles Medical Spa team and I will be making and providing masks to all the local food stores. If you are willing to help, please contact us.
